Día De Los Inocentes

28th of December is a day to play pranks, and everyone does it, even in the media and commercial brands. Remember some days ago when I said you don´t mess with paella? 

Well, one of the cardinal sins is to make it with a type of sausage called xoriço made of pork. You can put xoriço in a lot of things, but not that paella. 

Well, a well known Valencian rice brand decided to play a joke by announcing they were making sausage for paella. They created a very elaborate and authentic campaign, including the image above. 

People. Were. Pissed. 

Some started to stop and think...wait, I know what day it is. I´m not falling for that trick! 

So fortunately, the company admitted the joke, much to the relief of the entire Valencian community. But it just goes to show you how seriously people take their paella!
